South Africa's Department of Education & Thrive Africa
WOW! The more I learn about the ministry that Johanna is going to intern with this summer, the more I'm praising God! Please click on the title of this entry and go to Thrive's description of what's happening with AIDS Education in the schools in the nearby villages. The admission by the Department of Education of why the program is working, and where they would like it to go is such a powerful testimony of God's power working through a humble ministry.
I see His Kingdom advancing through ministries just like this!
I wish I could serve there! I'm glad our daughter can go!
Please pray for her safety, for God to use her mightily, and for the necessary funds to come in soon.

Interesting, I've heard that Africa, and even South America have been called some of the most influencial area's for growth in the Church. And that they have not caught the radical changes that we have seen in so many areas.
I just recently heard that J.I. Packer has left his Canadian Anglican Church for that of the Southern Cone in South America... it is strange to hear that Africa, and South America to be of a conservitist form of Christianity.
I'm so happy for Jo, not sure she remembers me, but tell her that I'll pray for her, and the ministry she's embarking on. I'm just as thrilled as you are... it's so wonderful that the Lord calls and gifts those that seek Him... may Johanna always seek Him and serve Him is my prayer, and find great Joy in that!
